3dt: What software did you use and do you have any tips for using this software, or any other software that you use to create your art in general?
I use several software to create my work such as Maya
, ZBrush, MODO
, UV layout
. I am trying my best to learn and use to my advantage each software to make my work easier and faster.
3dt: Would you consider yourself to have a particular signature style, or techniques that you use often?
I think I have my own style, such as with all the detail I put into my pieces, which I value greatly.
I've studied a lot about anatomy and character design by myself. I also always practice drawing and sculpting . These two things are very important for a modeler in my opinion. From a technical point of view, I usually use more than one software, either between Maya, Lightwave and ZBrush.
I always start my process to sculpt a character with ZBrush, like a traditional sculpture. It's easier for me to add or remove parts to make it the perfect form and silhouette, then add more details.
My workflow is simple; I usually use Dynamesh, ZRemesher tools, and then send to Maya for retopology. Maya 2015 has invented many new tools for the modeler.
3dt: Who are your favorite artists, traditional or digital, and can you explain why?
EN: Rafael Grassetti
, Shunya Yamashita
, Andrew Hickinbottom
, Zack Petroc
, Simon Lee
and many more. They are some of my favorite artists and I always get inspiration from their work.
3dt: What can we expect to see from you next?
EN: I am working on my personal project. I designed several characters and have started to sculpt some. It's gonna be one of my collections and I will definitely post to 3dtotal when it's done!
