Well, another month has flown by and we have put together another awesome issue of 3dcreative magazine for your viewing pleasure!
The November issue of 3dcreative magazine is, as always, packed full with fantastic tips about all aspects of the 3D design process. But weve been especially spoiled when it comes to skin textures and shaders this month! We have tonnes of techniques to help you achieve perfection in a variety of skin textures: from amphibian skin, photoreal eyes, scaly monster flesh and warty witches to cartoon mermaids tails.
Inside the November issue of 3dcreative magazine, cover artist Henning Sanden describes the processes involved in designing and creating his grumpy friend, Conrad, sharing how he created rotting teeth and scarred skin.
Hi-Rez Studios Bryan Wynias imaginative monster is a mutant lizard that merges natural history with fantasy design. Bryan walks us through the creation of his creature from design to post production, treating us to lots of insight into the workflow of a creature-design master.
Jeremy Celeste's credits include the recently released /Gravity/. This issue, he drops by to reveal how to craft a cute amphibian. His tutorial shares how he achieves a photorealistic macro photography aesthetic using Maya, mental ray, ZBrush and NUKE.
Meanwhile, Andrew Hickinbottom is creating a sidekick for one of his crafty characters, Cara.
This mermaid is scaly, but in a good way! He describes the processes behind his mini-project to create this cute, candy colored sidekick for his character Cara, from conception to completion. What's more, the awesome Dan Roarty reveals his secrets to modeling and texturing incredibly photorealistic eyes in his guide for Maya and V-Ray.
Also inside the issue, Marlon Felipe Piloni Matos shares his ZBrush sketchbook with us!
Plus! We have another packed gallery with 3D delights to inspire and motivate.
And that's not all. We also chat to 3 artists this issue: Andrew Averkin talks to us about how he creates his dramatically photorealistic scenes and reveals why he's returned to university after a decade of working in the 3D industry. While Yinxuan and Thierry Dezarmenien of TYAnim share how they met through a CG forum and now work in a husband and wife 3D partnership.
We hope youre geared up for a creative November. Enjoy the issue!
