Website Banners

All advertisers must supply banners of both sizes that are used throughout the 3DTotal website; these are the banners that you can see at the top and side of this page, and their specifications are as follows:

Letterbox Banners: 728x90 pixels, supplied in either jpeg, gif or flash format (see below)
Tower Banners: 160x600, supplied in either jpeg, gif or flash format (see below)
Important Banner Information

  • Please aim to keep the banner below 100kb in size to help our pages run efficiently
  • Don't forget to tell us the URL of your page that you want the visitor to go to once they click on your banner
  • You can supply us with multiple banners if you wish and we will rotate them within your impressions
Flash Banner Info

To submit Flash Banners, one of the following clickTAG codes needs to be written into your banners, depending on what version of Flash/ActionScript they have been created in:

Flash 10 and ActionScript 3:

if (root.loaderInfo.parameters.clickTAG.substr(0,5) == "http:")
navigateToURL(new URLRequest(root.loaderInfo.parameters.clickTAG), root.loaderInfo.parameters.clickTARGET);

CHANGES: The only part you may have to change is the myClickTagButton. Change this to whatever you have named your button instance in Flash. By default, if you have no other buttons, it will be called button_1.

Flash 8/9 and ActionScript 2.0:

on (release) {
if (clickTAG.substr(0,5) == "http:") {

CHANGES: No changes. Please do not edit this code in any way. Do not insert your target URL into the "http:" section as this will cause the banner not to work properly.

Instructions about how to insert this code can be found at:

These codes enables us to count the clicks on your banners. We also need the URL of the page you would like the visitors to go to when they click on your banner. If you are having trouble getting this code into your banner then you can make your flash banner link directly to your site; this means it will work perfectly fine but we will not be able to supply you with click statistics (but you can try to count them yourself from your site).

Once your banners are ready, or if you have any further questions, please send them to moc.latotd3@ronnik
Magazine Adverts

A lot of our advertising packages include full-page adverts in either or both of our downloadable PDF magazines (3DCreative & 2DArtist). If your package doesn't already include this, or you would like extra ads, the cost is just $100.00 USD per each full-page advertisement placed.

To place a full-page advertisement we will require the following artwork by the 20th of the month prior to the magazine you wish to advertise in. For example, to advertise in October we will require your artwork to be submitted by September 20th. We ask that all advertisements are submitted to the following specifications:

2480x3508 pixels, supplied as a PDF or PSD file

This is quite high-res and we prefer it this way as a lot of users print these magazines and we often get the mags printed ourselves for trade shows, etc. However, if you are having trouble getting your artwork to this size then we can accept as low as 1240x1754 pixels.

Once your adverts are ready, or if you have any further questions, please send them to moc.latotd3@ronnik

If your advertising package includes a newsletter promotion then we will feature you at the top of one of our newsletters per month - here's a newsletter example. As you can see, we automatically include either your tower or letterbox banner, and also 60 words of promotional text. If we do not receive your text you will not be included, so please submit to moc.latotd3@ronnik by the 20th of each month.
