Making of 'Satyr Statue'

| Since I was satisfied with the lights I created a very, very simple shader to get the final look to the statue. It is a V-Ray material with a low value in the Reflection Glossiness slot to get a very smooth, blurred reflection, and the Reflection Color is around 20:20:20 – very subtle. I used the same material for the base, with an extra Bump map. And that’s it. Here are all the settings (Fig.27). |
| Now it was time to render! The final image had 1500 x 1000 pixels and took about seven minutes to render, with a ZDepth pass. I also created an Occlusion pass for him (Fig.28 – 30). |
