Making of 'Satyr Statue'

Since I was satisfied with the lights I created a very, very simple shader to get the final look to the statue. It is a V-Ray material with a low value in the Reflection Glossiness slot to get a very smooth, blurred reflection, and the Reflection Color is around 20:20:20 – very subtle. I used the same material for the base, with an extra Bump map. And that’s it. Here are all the settings (Fig.27).

Now it was time to render! The final image had 1500 x 1000 pixels and took about seven minutes to render, with a ZDepth pass. I also created an Occlusion pass for him (Fig.28 – 30).
