There are just three basic colours in this scene, so it was a bit difficult to get interesting colour bleeding and mixing. I think it is very important to get a good mood and perception. Therefore it was necessary to make a few experiments with colours of light sources.
I had planned to create two different images with day and night lighting. I started with a night shot. I don't often do night renders, so this was much more interesting for me!
As you can see, I used a large number of light sources in this version. In Fig.07 you can see the positions of light sources and some settings for them. I spent a lot of time creating a night shot; it was a bit difficult to achieve the right balance between light sources, but I hope that I did it well!
Then I started to work on the day version. For me, this was easy! For the main source I used a VRay Light in the Skylight portal mode. I also decided to add additional sources to get the contrast between cold and warm tones of light. I did several tests and after that started the final render. In Fig.08 you can also see the positions of light sources and settings for them. You can also see the VRay Physical Camera settings for both variants in Fig.09.
After rendering I got two images (Fig.10) that I processed to produce the final results. For both shots, I did some colour correction, made some brightness and contrast adjustments, and I added some noise, vignette, z-depth and a glow effect. After all this, I achieved the final images you see here (Fig.11 - 12).
That's all! Thanks again to 3DTotal.com! Best wishes and beautiful pictures for you all!
