Making of Sabotage

3D artist Guzz Soares gives us a quick look at how he created the cool
Sabotage using ZBrush

This is my tribute to one of my favorite rappers, Sabotage. For this project I used ZBrush and Photoshop

Step 01: Sculpting

In ZBrush I start blocking in the character with a sphere using DynaMesh. I always refer to my references to check on the likeness; and keep an eye on the silhouette to check if the shapes are working. I use the ClayTube and Move brushes to build up the character form the basic sphere to a detailed model.

Step 02: Retopology

For this character I used ZRemesher to work on the retopology. The ZRemesher Guide brush gives a nice topology flow. Once I am happy with the retopology I use UV Master to create the characters UV.

Step 03: Detailing

I use a range of specific brushes to add detail to the character, most of them are available on the internet.
This tutorial, by the amazing Glauco Longhi, is very helpful with adding all those little details to your sculpt to increase the realism.

Step 04: Painting

Before I get stuck into painting the sculpt I create a basic palette for the character. This is a great time savers and makes the painting process quicker and more precise.

I used a number of different light sources and render settings to light my character and
