3DTotal: Where do you see yourself in a 10 years time?
Pär: Maybe I have bought a cabin on a mountain top or a lighthouse by the sea where I can start a family and do freelance work. Working in London gets those ideas in your head, it’s hectic….

3DTotal: Through out an artist career, they will always look at artwork by there favourite artist, whether it’s for research or inspiration. So which do you find inspiration from?
Pär: I will always keep Frazetta, Bisley and Sienkiewicz closest to heart; they have done a lot of really cool stuff and are ripped off so massively that a lot of people probably have forgotten who started it all.I also find a lot of inspiration in forums like TweakCg, Conceptart and CgTalk, and working at a place like Framestore is naturally a huge source of inspiration as well, the talent and knowledge in between those walls are amazing and it makes you try even harder.

3DTotal: Well it has been a pleasure getting to know a bit about you. One last question before we finish. What has been the most influential piece of advice that you have received through out your art career?
Pär: Quite easy when friends and family told me it might be time to leave Starbreeze, not that it was a bad place to work at but after 8 years at the same company it was time to move on. It has been good on so many levels and it gave me a great creative injection when it came to modelling and texturing. I think that 5 years is about enough time spent at one and the same company, you need some fresh air every once I a while. |
