3DTotal: What software do you use and why?
Dave: I use cinema 4d as my main 3d application because it fits my needs, I know that when I open the application I will have all I need to get the job done. I’m also using fryrender now for many projects as its output is a real treasure for the type of work my clients give me. They want to see their work as real as i can get it and fryrender allows me to do this. the other software applications i use are the general 2D apps that every one uses, ie Photoshop, freehand etc. these are my bread and butter applications they are used and abused for texture making and presenting my work.

3DTotal: What have been your favourite project(s) so far and what makes them your favourite?
Dave: hmmm that’s a hard one, I don’t really have a favourite project as I have enjoyed working on a lot of my projects. I think that is due to the nature of what I do, the projects change pace, theme every time. Does that make sense?

3DTotal: What do you spend you personal time doing?
Dave: I spend my personal time doing personal projects in 3D, this helps keep me on my toes, as i’m always learning. And as I’m a freelancer I’m always looking at new ways to get clients. When not doing this I spend time with my family (as long as I’m not too far away from the computers)

3DTotal: Why are these activities so important to you?
Dave: Well I love doing 3D with a passion and get bored quickly when I am not doing so (how geeky is that) plus it helps me to keep learning new ways and tricks. The other stuff is important because getting new clients helps me keep the people I love fed and clothed
