Hello, my name is Muhammad Rasyid Ridha and I'm from Indonesia. In this article, I will show the general making of this image. First of all, as for any project that I start, I collected as much reference material as I needed. I like a variety of Jeeps, including military ones. After looking at so many of them I chose to work on a U.S Military Jeep, post World War II, and the model I decided on was the Jeep® Willys MB Officer. For the colour scheme, I was inspired by the movie “Saving Private Ryan”. All that you see here in this art work has been thought up and created by myself; however, what I'm trying to show in this Making Of may not be the best method of reaching the same outcome.
In this Making Of my Jeep® Willys MB, there are five sections: modelling, texturing, lighting and rendering, compositing, and post production. As for the application itself, I used four software packages, which were Softimage XSI, Body Paint, Photoshop and HDR Shop. Some of textures I used were also from 3DTotal’s Texture Collections (http://www.3dtotal.com/textures). |
