The diffusion channel was just the grayscale adjusted color image.
Shader and rendering:
I have decided to light and render my little alien in Lightwave. First, I have imported the mesh and applied the displacement map and bump
generated in Zbrush.
Then I have added the color, diffuse and specularity maps and played with various shader settings. Finally I have added some subsurface scattering - a free chanlum lightwave shader.
The final image was color corrected in photoshop to give it more dark and slimey look.
