Join this LIVE 2-part tutorial and Q&A; hosted by Lagoa. 3D artists Cesar Zambelli Loiacono and Abu Abudayyeh will guide you through the creation of Space Girl, giving an in-depth look at the entire process of creating a character, from conceptualizing to rendering.

In the first part of the webinar on 26 March at 6:00PM GMT (1:00PM EST), Cesar will kick off the tutorial by taking you through the prep work and getting started on creating the model. He will concentrate specifically on 3D modeling, UV mapping and texturing. You will learn professional tips and tricks about working in Zbrush, Topo Gun, Mari and Lagoa. We will address any questions live throughout the webinar.

In the second part of the webinar on 27 March at 6:00PM GMT (1:00PM EST), Cesar and Abu will take you through creating hair and putting the final touches on the model. Abu will cover growing and grooming hair in Fibermesh and the creation of facial hair - eyelashes, eyebrows and fuzz. Then, Cesar will give you an in-depth look at rendering with Lagoa, the first 3D rendering tool made for the cloud. You will learn about Fibermesh, 3ds Max and Lagoa.

About the speakers

Cesar Zambelli Loiacono
Cesar is a freelance 3D artist and animator based in Sao Paulo, Brazil. He started learning 3D when he was 13 years old and took a course on 3ds Max. After completing his education at Mackenzie University, he worked in advertising, producing commercials, movies and TV series. In 2009, Cesar became more interested in sculpting, studying with traditional sculptor Cicero DâAvila. Since 2012, Cesar now works as a 3D artist for Lagoa. Today, Cesar teaches digital sculpture workshops in Brazil including a workshop on female anatomical sculpting in ZBrush.

Abu Abudayyeh
Abu is a technical director and consultant focusing on the creation of artist friendly tools for VFX and animation. He has created and collaborated in the development of a variety of bespoke toolsets ranging from volume preserving muscle systems, hair creation/grooming solutions, and visual effects pipelines. He believes in a cross-disciplinary approach to the training of digital artists and has worked with practical effects specialists, industrial designers, biologists and architects in producing in-house training programs and knowledge sourcebooks for clients. Beyond that, Abu enjoys sculpting and messing about with hyperbolic geometric shapes.
