We celebrate 101 issues of 3dcreative magazine with a look back at the history of covers. All back issues are available to download so simply click on any of the below covers to find out more!
3dcreative magazine was launched in the mid-noughties for CG artists around the globe, whether working in 3D or just getting started. The concept of the magazine was to pack each issue with techniques, tutorials, interviews, articles, project overviews and galleries, providing a perfect platform from which to improve 3D skills, learn from industry professionals and get inspiration for new projects.
101 issues later and the magazine is still playing host to the world's biggest 3D artists and upcoming talents with projects and interviews that allow readers to get into the mindset of the pros to perfect their own game. We thought it would be fun to look back at all 101 issues of 3dcreative magazine so you can take a look at our journey so far. We cannot wait to see what the next 100 will bring!
For all those that have followed 3dcreative magazine throughout the years – thank you! We couldn't have kept going without the support of those that buy the issues. We suffer greatly from piracy and shared copies of the magazines so we have great respect for those of you that spend the £2.99 per month – or subscribe
– to help us keep going. THANK YOU :)

"3dcreative is an excellent magazine with really great in-depth tutorials of the highest standard. The galleries and interviews with artists are also better than most print magazines. I would recommend it wholeheartedly to any 3D artist”
- Craig Foster, Midlands, UK
In keeping with our reputation for being up-to-date with current trends and styles, the theme for the covers of 2013
was not of this planet. By staying on top of the ZBrush trend for creating weird and wonderful beasts, we hosted a number of alien or creature concepts not-before-seen by human eyes,. We also featured some incredible characters, such as this stylish and striking Mangbetu Woman.

The covers for 2012
featured a variety of eclectic pieces of art; everything from armored birds and beasts to expressive faces and quadrupeds – with this curvaceous pin-up by Andrew Hickinbottom gracing our November issue.

"As a long-time reader of 3dcreative magazine, I can say that its interviews, galleries and tutorials have been a great source of inspiration and knowledge for my own work”
- Jose Alves da Silva
2011 featured one of our most popular covers ever; the tequila-swigging armadillo for issue 73. Seems so long ago now! Issues 65 to 76
also featured a wide variety of other themes; cartoon scorpions, topologically correct sculpts, weapon-wielding characters and monsters from the deep.
