This is a video tutorial discussing some more advanced UVW tricks in 3ds Max. I will be covering how to use different UVW map channels, and show what they are useful for, as well as covering UVW mapping tiles.
Using these techniques you will be able to really squeeze the most out of your shaders without having to go through lengthy unwraps, or complicated painting. Even with having access to 3D paint programs, I still prefer these methods in many situations because of how easy they are to edit or change at any point down the line.
