Introduction

I had a fair few requests for a video on V-Ray showing 32-bit displacement maps. This one is sort of an amalgamation of all the info that's available on The Area, along with an idea or two of my own. It also outlines a way to use multi UV tiled displacement along with V-Ray, and explains how to get perfect renders every time.

3g Mudbox to Maya 2009 Video LinkMudbox to XSI7 video linkMudbox to 3d Max 2009 video linkMudbox to V-ray (max 2009) video linkOK here the final video in the 'set' I've been working on to show how to get high quality and easy to replicate 32 bit displacement working in all the autodesk apps (as well as V-ray). I wanted for obvious reasons to get videos out as part of the QuickStart series showing this for all the 3d apps capable of displacement map renders in the Autodesk range. My hope is this makes things a bit easier for those of you converting to a mudbox pipeline or are having trouble gettig displacement maps rendering correctly in any of these 3 apps.Enjoy______________________________________________________________ Hotel Italy | Apartments Italy
