Making Of 'Kitchen'
Hello and welcome to this Project Overview. I wish to share with you some thoughts on Texturing and Post - Production. I have made a small tutorial for 3DTotal's Total Textures CD's called Kitchen which I had already modeled. Once I had decided on lighting and placement of the camera, I began browsing 3DTotal's Total Textures CD's and quickly found and picked out a number of fitting maps for the kitchen surfaces.
Total Textures Textures Used
I then exported the model to 'lightscape' for rendering then made the skylight effect and radiosity. Then I rendered the scene again, this time at the final resolution of 1600x1200 pixels. This took about 15 minutes on a Pentium 4 2Ghz with 512MB RAM. I saved the result and opened the image file in Photoshop.
As you can see, the rendering color was not fantastic so I used Photoshop to correct it. I used the color balance, color levels and and sharp filter .This makes the final Image better than the render from 'lightscape.'
I think that the quality of my work will increase using the Total Textures and they will be of much help in the future.
Big thanks to 3D Total!
