Defining Style

I used a low poly version of the model and overpainting to find the look for the final image, making sure the sizes worked and also that there would be space for the text (Fig.18 - 19).

Render Passes

These are the basic render passes I used for the image. I had to make a few more for the lighting of the weapons and others for masking the figures, the foreground etc (Fig.20).

Model Turn

The model was my favorite part and also the most challenging. I wanted to achieve a result that I felt proud of and the director liked (Fig.21 - 24).

Hi JJ: I just merge the dummy on a subtool mad made it a single poly group. Then I used transpose master using a mask for the dummy I moved the model to fit more or less the posture. Regards!

Missflesh: The vegetation is from a library, sorry if I didn't mention it. I made the modeling for the big trees.

How did you make the vegetation? Did you model them all or are they pre-made meshes you downloaded somewhere (since the tutorial does not show how they are made) or are they from some-sort of Max library?
