what would that movie be without Digital Domain ? It would be a movie with ILM, or a movie with WETA, or movie with SONY pictures, and if they all fail, you have studio across the globe, you would need to see 10 million people failing for it to be a bad love story... You know Space Odyssey 2001, back in 1960 was made in England. It's business, for 30 000 USD a month instead of paying a VFX star you can have a horde of people from Bangladesh doing a better job faster.

The heart of the problem is, how high the bar is, you cant keep the quality to the level it is with the feed and time given, if you lower the bar you get more productivity and more can be done for less, of course there is a need to speak up, but the center of the problem is how high the artist themselves have put the bar, if they spent less time on the computer and more time bargaining and selling what they are doing, big chance the tables would turn

Great video! The Pandora's box is opened and the studio heads will regret it!

Royalty is much better then union. I do support the men and woman behind these wonderful VFX films. Union will only close doors to independent field artist. I work for company that have union and it suck! no room for individual wage negotiation only the big shot union reps get good pay. Royalty is the way...

A bad love story, sums up everything about this... Except people are hurt more than in a bad love story :(

I couldn't agree more with this, imagine Mark Ruffalo just painted green instead of the incredible (incredible) hulk that we saw in The Avengers? It's just wrong and needs to change NOW!
