The latest issue of 2dartist is available now!

We hope you are enjoying the new look 2dartist just as much as we are enjoying filling its lovely new pages with high quality content and images from around the digital world! As well as some impressive mythical scenes this month, we've got something for the character designers out there.

We get the ball rolling with an interview with Dan Luvisi, whose story is an inspiring one and we couldn't wait to discuss making it in the movies, ‘Popped-Culture', and his upcoming talk at Portugal's Trojan Horse was a Unicorn CG art festival.

We also caught up with Walt Disney Animation visual development artist, Ryan Lang, whose awesome concept art helped to bring the incredible world of Wreck-It Ralph to life. Ryan talks processes, inspiration and what it's like working at one of the biggest animation studios in the world!

Our cover image tutorial by Pyeongjun Park takes you through a step-by-step guide on how to create his striking anti-heroine, Morsus! He shares tips and techniques on how to play with the compositional facets to create a dynamic character and scene.

With our character theme continuing, we have an enlightening tutorial from Derek Stenning, who demonstrates using a silhouette technique to create his desert character and discusses the use of design sheets to take your characters further with an art director.

Moving into something different now as Piotr Foksowicz walks us through the stages he takes to create a battle scene between two primitive tribes. Creating a dramatic, busy scene can be tricky, but Piotr shares lighting tips and tricks to help you achieve this.

If vehicles are more your thing, then you'll want to take a look at how YongSub Noh designed and painted this awesome fantasy air balloon!

In the film industry it is necessary to convey realistic settings on the big screen; you often need to combine a lot of different photos to achieve this realism. In this month's Project overview Rasmus Berggreen demonstrates this technique alongside many others to achieve his mythological image The Last Goodbye.

Last, but no means least talented character and creature concept artist Vinod Rams talks of his inspirations, and techniques, whilst he shares his anatomically awesome creature sketches.

With a vibrant tutorial section exploding with useful tips and techniques, page turning interviews, an inspiring gallery, and much, much more, there's something for everyone to keep you going until next time!
