How to enter:

We challenge you to create your very own Space Girl! Let your imagination be your guide – the only requirement for the contest is that the final model must be rendered in Lagoa, so showing your work in progress is essential. You can sign up to use Lagoa for free under the Community license, which includes 5GB cloud storage, 2 hours/month rendering time, 1 background render job, content embedding – and no credit card details will be taken.

The rules:

The final model must be rendered in Lagoa. Extra credit will be for awarded for using physically based materials, Lagoa camera settings, lighting and any other features.

To enter the contest, submit the following for your chance to win awesome prizes:
• Your final render at screen resolution (72DPI)
• List the features of Lagoa you used to produce your render
• List the programs you used to create your Space Girl
• List any supplemental information, such as a description of your final submission, the 3D content used (ie did you create it yourself or use stock models), and so on. More is better here as it will help the judges to pick the rightful winner!

Submission deadline:

Be sure to submit your work by 29 July 2014 to competitions@3dtotal.com with the subject line 'Lagoa Space Girl competition'. Winners will be announced on or before 5 August 2014. Be sure to include your full name and shipping information. You will only be contacted by postal mail if you are one of the lucky winners.

Competition forum:

A Lagoa Space Girl competition forum has been set up on the 3dtotal forums for those that want to share their WIP with the community before submitting. If you take part in the forums, be sure to include a link to your thread with your submission information.

Free assets!

To help you out, Lagoa is offering the Space Girl model – as featured in the webinar – as a free asset for this competition. You can download the female model, hair model, spaceship model and textures by clicking the button below. Feel free to use these 3D models and textures in your new design – or if you're feeling brave, why not create your own Space Girl from scratch?
