We have a bit of a rummage around the internet and bring you Dells new tablet, Adonits new stylus and a rather cool 3D printer. Check out our top pick of newfangled gadgets!

Introduction

If youre anything like us, youve still got a bit (okay, a lot) of Christmas shopping to finish off. Fortunately were at hand to provide inspiration and last-minute gift ideas with our final Top Tech of 2013.

Among the highlights this week are Dells surprisingly non-boring tablet, the new even-more-extreme GoPro, and a stylus with a really wee tip for writing and drawing properly. Youll also find a new 3D printer concept, a very old game concept, and an awesome but ultimately poorly-thought-through camera. Merry Christmas!

1. Dell Venue 8 Pro

© Dell

Dell is slowly shaking off its dour corporate image and actually producing some rather cool tech. The Venue 8 Pro (£249) is a Windows 8-powered tablet powered by an Intel Atom processor and Intel HD graphics, but what intrigues us most is the 8-inch display with 10 point capacitive touch, so you could potentially run the full version of Photoshop on it.

2. Jot Script

© Adonit

Most styluses weve used have simply shoved a bit of rubber on a pen body, which isnt great for more precise and intricate drawings. Adonits Jot Script ($74.99) features a really tiny 1.9mm tip, which apparently makes it feel more like a pen. Chuck in an AAA battery and itll show off its nifty palm rejection skills.

3. GoPro HERO3+ Black Edition

© GoPro

GoPros have become the go-to camera for extreme filming and its not hard to see why. These robust little blighters will survive being chucked about, submerged and even falling out of aeroplanes - and theyll keep running the whole time. The latest HERO3+ Black Edition (£359.99) is smaller, faster and just generally better than its predecessors.

4. Steam Machine

© Valve

The big gaming news of the past few days has been Half-Life creator Valves Steam Machines - Linux-powered beasties set to take on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in the living room. While the demo units have been sent to 300 lucky US gamers, intrepid geeks can try building their own by downloading the SteamOS software.

5. JBL Synchros

© JBL

JBLs latest headphones use signal processing technology to deliver a full, round and organic sound, apparently similar to listening to live music. They look the part, too, so you can listen to tunes while youre hard at work without feeling a bit silly. They start at £69.99 for the in-ear S100, and range up to £299.99 for the S700.

6. Tomb Raider

© Square Enix

Square Enix has re-released the original Tomb Raider on iOS devices (99p) just in time for one of the most unexpectedly boring times of year. The pitch-perfect conversion is resplendent in its blocky graphics, but its rollicking adventure is still just as compulsive as it was in 1996.

7. Samsung GamePad

© Samsung

Unfortunately this isnt out quite yet, but we rather like it. The Samsung GamePad is premium-feeling steel controller that connects to any Android device running 4.1 or above, and lets you play your favourite games without getting greasy fingerprints all over the screen. Itll support 35 games at launch, including Need for Speed: Most Wanted and Prince of Persia.

8. The Q

© The Q

We love the idea of this: The Q is a camera designed specifically for social situations, with a 3G connection to back up your pics, a ring flash to make your subjects look gorgeous, and its waterproof and shockproof so itll survive the roughest of parties. In practise, well probably stick with a smartphone, but its still a cool concept.

9. Deltaprintr

© Deltaprintr

Deltaprintrs 3D printer simplifies the design of the plastic replicators and makes it far cheaper and more user-friendly. It consists of a polar coordinate system, and while were not entirely sure what that is, it looks like it only has 3 arms instead of the more traditional 4. Its currently seeking funds via Kickstarter, and once funded its makers reckon theyll be able to flog it for $425 US.

10. Bright Idea USB Lightbulb

© Firebox

How long are we going to be able to get away with sticking a lamp at the end of this feature? The Bright Idea USB Lightbulb (£10.99) connects via USB and looks like a light bulb, and it even glows in the dark when its not powered up.
