We treat you to a sneak peek of what's inside the November issue of 2dartist, including an interview with Disney's Sam Nielson, plus a host of tutorials to help you master digital painting!

In the November issue of 2dartist magazine, we catch up Sam Nielson, a full-time concept artist for Disney Interactive Studio's Avalanche Software. Sam has been making video games with his older brother since he was a youngster; this issue he tells us all about how he used one of their childhood games to land himself a job at a game company - at the age of just sixteen! And that was just the start of his incredible career. Find out more inside the November issue.

We love this month's cover by Romanov Pavel, which he created for the popular card game, Legend of the Cryptids. Romanov guides us through the creation of this stunning image, sharing tips and advice on painting materials along the way. Follow along with the November issue!

As always there are plenty more useful tips and techniques to devour in the tutorial section! Character and creature concept artist Devon Cady-Lee has bags of style, which can be enjoyed in the November issue of 2dartist as he explores the adaptation of the human race in a world of wealth. Learn how to create original character concepts in Photoshop with Devon, this issue.

Meanwhile in the magazine, fantasy concept artist YongSub Noh shows us the ropes with his great advice and pro techniques, teaching us how to concept and create a fantasy industrial building. In contrast, master of atmospheric paintings Carlos Cabrera leads us through a step-by-step guide to creating a believable battle scene. His easy-to-follow Photoshop techniques are always a hit with 2dartist readers!

Discover how to get the most out of a Wacom tablet and Photoshop with our article by talented artist Christopher Peters. He shares his material studies, and texturing and lighting techniques, to help you learn to craft your very own character concepts.

With practise, comes speed. If you want to learn how to capture a fantasy landscape atmosphere in the blink of an eye, then you'll definitely want to read through Byzwa Dher's project overview where he applies speed painting techniques to his fairytale-inspired fantasy scene.

Also inside the November issue, we talk sketching techniques and inspiration with the awesome Wojciech Ostrycharz, who shares his fascinating collection of concept sketches with us all!
