But what is the VFX Festival? From 4–13 November, the VFX Festival 2013 returns to London for a second year to bring together the next generation of VFX talent with the biggest names in the industry, celebrating the people, tools and ideas that are shaping visual effects.

Week 1: Taking place in the first week of the festival (4- 7 November) there will be VFX workshops at Escape Studios for artists at all levels; from introduction to master classes in MARI, Houdini, Maya, Python, NUKE and more.

Week 2: The second week (11-13 November) will allow attendees to experience a selection of VFX presentations run by Oscar-winning artists as they discuss the development of latest Hollywood blockbusters and video games, including Gravity, World War Z, and Assassin's Creed. Cool, right?
