The way the dragon's head comes out of the sky...it looks like a crumby matte painting. I don't know how else to describe it. I think it's because the texturing on the head is so flat, and the clouds on the neck and body don't seem to be a part of the rest of the sky. I could argue that he's a chameleon of sorts, but that still doesn't explain what the coulds and scales on the dragon are so flat.
