Notes:
My first inspiration for creating this work came when I watched the movie No Country for Old Men, in 2007, although the film was set in Texas. But after traveling trough the lonely deserts of Arizona, and because I ever had a great passion for this kind of american west scenario, I felt that inspiration was more intense and so I created the image titled Once upon a time ... Technically I built the image with 3ds max and Vray for rendering. For post production / color correction I used Photoshop and Lightroom.

Just not sure why the signs read on the left side of the road, is that an American thing?

Really great image and composition. I like the scene/scenario you have created with the open door, blood and hat on the road... makes you wonder what happened. It just adds to a really great image

My sig approved. God I love Galaxies and Fairlanes.I like the image too, though If I had to crit it would be a few accuracy issues on the car. Nothing major, but I'm guessing that's either a 65 or 66. Either way, the hood/fenders are almost perfectly straight right up to the headlight trim, whereas yours curves quite a bit.Not that that matters a whole lot. Great image.

This is pretty much awesome! really good designs and modeling..Textures and colors rally making the atmosphere and the desert mood..Like the approach and the behind story..."did they kill him, or he killed him self"..awesome stuff man, THUMBS UP!
Great Job...Im working on this kinder look in my project...than again great job...
Thank you! So go ahead with your work and have fun because this theme is very interesting!
Man,that looks awesome. I would like to see the "making of" too. I like the mood
Thank you! Would be a pleasure to do that!
Very nice work! Would love to see a making of.
It would be great
Great work here, i like the mood. Just one question, where is the body? I mean blood on the windows and the ****** sheriff hat on the ground but no body. Anyway great piece. Thanks for this question. Well, I decided to put no body in the scene, and title the scene "Once Upon a time..." to encourage viewers to imagine what happened there, so you can imagine your own story.huh why the word b.l.o.o.d.y is censored?
?!?
5/5 for me. I really love the angle of view and perspective is brilliant. Love that movie too. as a student how do you create the dirty rusty texture and paintwork on the vehicles. the environment, is it fully 3d or image compositing
All of my textures are built with VrayBlendMaterial where I can use several types of textures just separated by masks. For the rusts on the car I created a base material for the car paint and dirties and on a coat layer is another independent shader which is the rust and its masking.
