Hi guys, this is my last personal work, the scene is based on an American city in the 30s. Work quite hard in the composition of the scene and textures, but I think the time spent worthwhile. Out of curiosity, the snowy appearance was something I decided at the last moment and I think that the scene win a lot in that regard. As always, modeling with 3dsmax and textures created with Photoshop. Lighting and rendering with Mental Ray and final composition in Photoshop

it can't be a model of an American City because we drive on the RIGHT HAND side of the road... lol... all the cars are facing/driving backwards... :P (unlike the rest of the world)

Very nice work otherwise... I agree with your method of repetition

the amount of snow on the street is not really following the amount on the buildings, but i know i couldn't render the car tire in the time it took to do this piece, so good effortone question though, what's causing the rectangular shaped shadow beneath every car?

Quite nice, but the identic cars look more like some russian trucks from the era.
The houses and the snow are nice, though it's a little bit too sunny for so much snow.

I love this whole piece! The nightime and the daytime... The feeling out of this scene is very nice!...the only thing i noticed (the repeated pattern of car wheels) over the snow :))

Much better for the lightning but i prefered the first picture for the amount of snow on the ground (i mean, its snowing...)but got the same problem for the direction of those cars ;)

Hi guys, thanks for your comments. is possible that in the scene, the cars and the trees are something repeated. But for me the most important in this scene was the lighting and the composition. But, is true that there are some elements that can be done better, thanks guys.Phalconheart, yes, was an error, the cars are circulating in the wrong dirrection, it`s true. Here I leave the night version of the scene. I hope you like it too.

great image, composition, texturing, modeling, but i also think that the fact thatall the cars are the same just take away the "wow"...you could just reduce the number of cars and raise the diversity :)

Really nice picture the look and render details are awesome. The only thing I found a little bit too symmetrical. With the cars following all the same path, the cars are all the same execpt for little differences you could try changing colors and create a new car maybe make a car turn on the end street .Plus adding a little snowfall would add something really cool.keep going you have made a good work !

Maybe a small detail but if this represent and American city, your cars are circulating in the wrong dirrection.

Love it, but it true about the car and the trees. To much tree (i mean, you can but some...they fit on the scene anyway)and for the car, they are all the same look, maybe try to add 2 different car.

Man, it looks awesome. I love it! I agree with other guys about cars and trees, but it is still looking damn good. I also like your night render of this image. Hope you will show us Making of

Lovely image. The only criticism would be the cars, which are all the same model so it looks a bit unnatural. Otherwise it's perfect!

I have to agree too. And for me maybe a bit too much snow on the cars front. Overall really realistic and well displayed.Keep up the work

At first glance, it seems like there's a lot of detail, but the buildings are all built from pieces of each other...so the whole thing kind feels like a bunch of instances of the same thing. The lighting is also a little dull. Finally, the trees look like AEC models, which I consider about the same as using Poser for people. But, it's a big scene, so all of these little details really don't mean much. (Except the lighting...it needs better lighting.)

The buildings look awesome. Great work with them. Nice texturing, lighting and render as well.However. The total lack of variety with trees and cars kind of kills this image for me. Two or three different types of vehicle would improve this image by a factor of lots.Keep up the good work all the same.
