Notes:
Hi I started this piece as part of my Zbrush 4 beta work. I have just got round to finishing him off. I have wanted to do the Nosferatu character for a while and I started roughing this model out over a year ago. He started out with a lantern and not keys but I really wanted something of a metaphor for the film so I changed it to keys something that has you locked inside even if not physical, he has you!. I hope you enjoy the images the second image I will post is the film grade version tribute to Max.

Cheers

Dan

Cheers, Although this was the correct chroma for my scene if its not right then my renderer lies as the distance is correct for that amount of blur and the bokeh lens shader amount works off a map I like the way it looked may not be physically correct to have the red blue and green tri colour map but as artist why not use it for the image instead of solely trying to recreate photos. Look at the holga camera it but all sorts of cool effects onto images, aint gunna be everyone

Really nice detailed modeling! face expressions working very well...However the background looks blurry and weird..The small windows bring sort of disproportion...Chromatic aberration is very strong specially on the ears and the coat..you shouldn't see red lines...supposed to be for the feeling not for the look..and by the way it's not the proper place where chromatic aberration should appear..I mean this phenomenon happens in places where the light comes in extreme conjunction with objects..However the glow on keys works really fine in my taste.Grate modeling and facial expressions..but don't know what that he got in his teeth? Anyway love the work! Thumbs UP :)

Hey Dan, this is amazing. I'm an animator but I'm interested in trying to create a few stills that look like paintings....done in 3D. I was just wondering if you'd be willing to explain how this started (maybe a rough sketch?) and how it evolved into this....I need a system to follow to get to this point...and once I have that down, I'll be able to branch off and come up with my own methods. I'd truly appreciate 5 mins of your time for help on getting started....thanks a lot.

Anthony.

Eyes kinda look pasted on. Perhaps because the light source is behind him, and foreground light should be diffuse enough to allow a downward casting shadow, down the temple and bridge. In the shape of a crucifix even.
