Notes:
Here's my last creation, my goal was to do a realistic portrait in 3d of a normal perso, and trying to make him look alive.

I think doing cg character is always a challenge it has so many details we have do deal with to make it look real, it's fascinating how the human body is complex and subtil at the same time.

I did it using 3dsmax, rendered with Vray 1.5 sp4 and I used Hairfarm for the hairs.

Hope you like it.

I like this face:) Maybe the down part of the lips and their right side shape is something what I'd think about. And the hair texture seems me a bit unnaturally.http://www.3d.sk/?ref=3dt22

I like the greyish blue but the other two colors are both a bit fuller in my meaning. Even theough the greenish looks stunning it is perhaps a bit too assymetrical to look real... (mostly talking about the "flares" in the iris).

I think the first set of new ones is the best fit. Although the initial eyes were fitting too, these give him an exotic look and although the guy is ugly (he is) the eyes make him what women call: charming...

OMG :DMr Bigguns you have done it again :)Amazing work, great work on the eyes, i think eyes are a very important piece for a realistic render, the first thing you notice when you talk to someone is there eyes, that tiny, tiny bit of time makes a world of diffrent, and it actually feels exactly like that when i watch you image,That feel of eye contact, its awesome man. you dont see that everyday in 3d models.

A-mazing. I think that the hair looks a little bit too stiff though, if he had shorter hair it could have been that stiff but it doesn't really work on fairly long hair such as his. It should also be lumped together more.Apart from that, I think that this is the best 3D piece I've ever seen O_OGreat job!

not a bad try with the hair, but you are very much aware that is a CG element, wheras the rest of the head looks photoreal. As for the style of the hair I think it does suit him, and the area's where the hair meet the skin looks very natural.

Here is an update, updated the eyebrows stuff, so they are much smoother and added little fur, etc. I correct some little things etc.I had tried doing long hair and get the really realistic, I think I would be able, but that will require a lot of time in doing what I wanted.. and now I'm bored to see him so I want to move on something esle fast.. so , maybe I let this guy like that or ad him a eaisuer haircut that gonna take just a couples of hours, I will see, gonna do a quick test and post it after.anyway, hope you like it I added a simple Bg, to make like a portrait shot.

Hi all!Just a quick update, I just remove the hairs from the texture but I still need to adds the details. And I did the cloth, will add some little hair on it later and some little dust on it.so, the eyebrows will be rendered in a separate pass in hairfarm, so I will not have that aa jagged border. Need to add more details to the diffuse, since I did not work it, I had took a couple of days of brake, but I get to this this week, will try a test of hair soon, to see if it can be as realistic as the rest, if I cannot get the as I want, I think I will make him a hat, and maybe a magician version Will see how the hairs turns out.H

Hi all! Thank you very much for your kind comments :)Here is an update, and yes I will remove the hairs in the texture today haha it's about time .Here are the eyebrows , I made them with amazin hairfarm , convert them to poly and render them , I had to put the aa of vray very hight to get it not too much jagged... and it tkae age to render, will see if I render them in pass odr final render. So here is a test with a single light, just to see how the skin shader react without hdri and sylight.anyway, here it is

Those eyes look incredibly real, a bit dim but still very, very real.Looking at your different tests I wonder what mood you want it to incorporate. Without any thoughts on that though I think the second from the left looks best :)

Photoreal work already and these are just tests! Incredibly good, looking forward to seeing where you take this......if you can take it anymore realistic than it already is lol. Very impressed.
