Thanks again for your comments !About 900,000 polys for the whole scene. It's mostly straight walls and there's no displacement.

Thanks everyone !-Rich-3DT : Thanks for the plug !-.seven : I had 2GB of ram when I did it, so no more than that, and maybe 2gigs of swap. There are a lot maps but most of them are pretty low res since they don't cover a large area.-danielmn : Thanks, I agree with that !

Freakin great man.I tell people all the time it doesnt matter the tool you use its how you use it. And you have proven that great job.

awesome work. What is your texture memory footprint?
Rich-3DT (Forums) on Thu, 29 April 2010 10:35am
This is a very believable scene rich in incidental detail and great textures. A great job and worthy of being plugged so go ahead and claim your award.
Tjerkotten (Forums) on Wed, 28 April 2010 8:57am
that is a pretty heavy scene. great work
Bakho (Forums) on Tue, 27 April 2010 6:36pm
Thanks so much for your comments !About the renderer, it's scanline with Light Tracer ("advanced lighting"), so with a standard skylight and light bounces activated. It's not physically correct like Vray or Mental Ray, but for exterior scenes it works fine.Anyway, I won't use it again since render times can be awfully long (no optimizations, bad use of multicore processors...)
Keraj37 (Forums) on Tue, 27 April 2010 9:56am
Scanline?! The best render in scanline ever! Or maybe textures had lights informations? Anyway it is great art

Stunning and very realistic love the modelling and the detailing and amazing texturework, amazing, it doesn't look too poly intensive either so I'm thinking it renders quite well too :)
Bakho (Forums) on Fri, 23 April 2010 6:43am
Thanks !About the tesselated meshes, it's to quickly add some dirt on the objects (using vertex color) and some bumps and cracks. It's also worth mentioning that since it's a scanline render there's no render time displacement to help adding details.
Tokooh (Forums) on Fri, 23 April 2010 6:30am
Jaw dropping work....!Awesome details and atmosphere... (i didnt understand some tesselated meshes, but its okay ;) )great workbest wishesTommy
