Post process in Photoshop (layered COPIC pen images). So it looks a bit like painted. Used plugins: V-Reel skin, Translucent Pro + Transparent shader, Solid Splines Pro and final touch (for shadows, saturation and contrast)
Texturing with SLA (Smells Like Almonds, an internal C4D shader packet, originally done by bhodinut, now cidertank). The complete background was done with it. For the bottom a photo texture was used
