It
all started in August 1999 as a project to make a simple 3D resource site. . . . Then
in July 2001 we released Version 2of the 3DTotal site, which was seen by 100,000 visitors each month.
The latest figures show a tremendous growth to over 1.5 million monthly visitor
sessions.
We
have many updates and site improvements planned which will increase traffic and
revenue, which in turn will be reinvested creating a cycle of continued growth
for 3D Total. For now, please enjoy the sites daily news on the frontpage, free model libraries, galleries, interviews, articles , tutorials and
products. Stay tuned for the forthcoming features :-

I didn't discover CG until I was 25 when I started
a multimedia course at my local art college
and things just went from there, progressing
to a computer animation Masters Degree at Bournemouth
University here in the UK, then working at a
3D studio in London. All the time I was working
on 3DTotal as a hobby. In 2001 I took the leap
and started doing 3DTotal full time and it just
kept on growing! and still is!In
my spare time. . .I like to skate on my longboards,
bodyboard on the occasions we get away from
it all do the coast, power kite and explore
the globe for 3DTotal's untilmate location!
I
want to thank all the visitors for their support
and hope you all continue to enjoy the site
and our products, we have many new site features,
CD's, DVD's and books planned for the near future
:)

I started out as a painter using oil paint and pencils and after finishing a Fine Art degree ventured into the world of murals and paint finishing. After some time I eventually substituted my canvas for a monitor following an introduction to 3D graphics.I studied this for a short while which consequently led to a job in the games industry where I became one of the principal texture artists working on Republic atElixir Studios. After the game was released I became the main character artist on a new title but after a few near misses on my daily cycle commute along with imminent arrival of my son, I made the decision to leave the big city and move back to the shire ( Worcestershire that is ! ). It so happens that I now work with three people who all coincidentally studided at the same foundation college as me, but many years after I had moved to another part of England. I now have a journey of one mile to work as opposed to ten but that combined with sleep deprivation hasn't helped my helath and fitness much but my working day does give me more time with the family now.

Well hello there, I was also with tom at college
studying graphics and multimedia and have been
a good friend to tom for many years beside the
fact that he always wins in everything we do (besides
golf). I have a huge interest in everything 3D
but still my heart is in 2D and always will be.

After lapping the 2 year mark I thought it was about time for an update! :)
I joined the team in Feb 2006 as an Administrator, doing all those jobs that boys generally hate to do, hehe ;). During my time as the "Admin Girl", I also had the great opportunity of working on the Digital Art Masters Volume 2 book project, as well as on the Shorts Drawer 2006 & 2007 DVD projects, and then in October 2007 I was given the chance to manage content for 3DTotal and our 2DArtist and 3DCreative magazines, and that's what you'll find me doing today (and I love it!)! :)
Before joining 3DTotal I studied Fine Art for 5 years and got my BA(Hons) in Fine Art in 2004, after 3 intensive years studying in Bournemouth. Having learnt so much from 3DTotal over the past 2 years, and of course from all the artists that I speak to everyday from all around the world, I hope one day, too, to explore the world of CG with my own art concepts! ;

Sawasdee! (Hi!)
I am a Thai girl, and I graduated Marine Bio-Geo-Chemistry degree in Bangkok.
I help 3DTotal out as the Content Manager for their many projects. My duties include seeking talented artists from all around the world and making contact with them (so don’t be surprised if you get an email from me one day!) …Being here is a great experience where ‘I am who I am’. Everybody is so friendly and we play ‘Table tennis’ together at lunch! Finally, thanks for all your email replies and all your support!

Well let's see, I've been programming for about
10 years now. My interest in
3d came from learning directX and OpenGL and innocently
having a stab at
writing a 3d gaming engine (hey, I was young and
naive!). For the most
part I do maintenance on the scripts and database
on the site while
freelancing. Interests include systems architecture,
software domination
and retiring as a tattoo artist.

I've been messing around in the artistic field for a long time now. I was in computer games for a couple of years and I got into that via an obscure route of web-design, e-learning, and various forms of tedious corporate design (ugh!) Nowadays I'm into making things that interest me, and working for companies with a relaxed but highly creative outlook on life. Hence, I continue to be a part of 3D Total. As well as enjoying 3D, I'm also an avid writer and I'm working on a couple of novels with the hope of being a popular author one day.
