Digital Painting - Abominable Snowman: CLP |
Rich-3DT: A good mix of terror and humour in this piece and captures a dramatic moment well.
ClassicGamer-3DT: Amazing use of light and colour, loved the progression throughout this one, the expression of joy on the offspring is brilliant as is the look of fear on the humans, a really good painting with all the elements of a masterpiece in my opinion.
Simon-3DT: I like the concept of this piece that the yetti's have just been discovered. I think the lighting and the cartoony twist make it quite an origional piece.
Low Poly (Game Art) - Snow Creature: Joseph Pomeisl |
Rich-3DT: Very interesting design with emphasis on strong volumes. The simple material supports the model well without distracting from the form but perhaps could have benefited from a little more detail.
| Chrip-3DT: Nice model and design and i really like the pose on the final shot. |
Matte Painting - Polar Colony: Opinelz |
| Tom-3DT: I like the consistency across the image, lighting looks a bit fake but your ideas and structures look believable. |
Rich-3DT: Some nice touches in this piece particularly in the upper half of the composition. Some aspects have been well blended although the two environments need a little more integration.
| Chrip-3DT: Though this is more of an illustration than full on matte painting it was better than the remaining contestant. The image is nicely put together though the scale on certain elements are wrong. |
ClassicGamer-3DT: Love the twin worlds that collide into one image here, the formation of the ice on the upper layer looks really good and I love the penguins included at the side aswell as the igloo that is centered. The underwater section of the image looks superb, I really like the inclusion of the sea turtle and the killer whale, the overall composition is well place and well made.
Speed Modeling - Solar Ice Drilling Machine: hammering3d |
| Tom-3DT: That's a lot of fun and very clean modelling too, I think you miss the old stylized challenges we used to run. |
Rich-3DT: Very amusing but nevertheless tidy with some solid and efficient modelling.
| Chrip-3DT: HAHAHA love it...not very practical drill but the idea is wicked. |
ClassicGamer-3DT: A lovely little squat driller, really nice clean modelling with well thought out mesh placement, really like the drill and arm section on this one.
Simon-3DT: Really cool and different! I like the fact that you have followed the guidelines but also made it fun and made a really good model. Cool.
Sculpting Challenge - Abominable Snowman: mastein |
| Tom-3DT: Good models, you achieved a lot in your time limit with the pair, and the poses are great too. |
Rich-3DT: Great models which work really well together. Great attention to detail with expressive postures.
| Chrip-3DT: Another great sculpt. the overal design for your yeti, anatomy and pose is really well thought out. |
Freespace-3DT: Quite an interesting take on the subject. Great poses and expressions give this sculpt soul.
ClassicGamer-3DT: Amazing and unique style to this one, love the hybrid bear/human male look, the anatomy of this guy is so well proportioned and not only physically accurate but also an absolute work of sculpted art.
Simon-3DT: Really great model and concept, I like the way you have mixed a polar bear and a man to create your yeti and the pose you have chosen is great.
