Tom-3DT: Another great image, showing suspense, scale, great brushwork, also i like the mystery of the snowbeast is he a predator, curious, or even a guardian. The explorer also is particularly well painted and somehow familiar.

Chrip-3DT: A good old take on the myth of the abominable snowman, evading the pursuer, but always keeping a close watchful eye on the intruder. Great colour palette, and adding in a touch of green to the ice ledge really adds depth to the piece.

ClassicGamer-3DT: Wonderful brush strokes on this piece, great snowman, really excellent painting of the human explorer and the hair on the snowman, great tone and light and the ice cliff on which the snowman is perched looks beautiful. A really crackin' painting.

Simon-3DT: Your image shows a totally different side to the idea of a Yetti, and this gives a peaceful feel to it and makes the yetti seem more like an intelligent creature. Really good!

Tom-3DT: One of the most interesting designs, colours and textures look very good with the use of your reflections and opacity maps.

Rich-3DT: This character looks almost mythic in style with a tortured expression that lends it a forlorn quality. Both materials and form give him an elemental quality and overall works well.

ClassicGamer-3DT: Love the modelling of this one, so good having a guy made completely from ice crystals, he's got a superb expression on his face and the texture work is beautiful, really great colouring and an excellent lighting setup too. Well done.

Rich-3DT: Nice concept with a good sense of depth. The snow across the water is a little too transparent in places but overall works well.

Chrip-3DT: A strong second place, though the snow in some place doesnt match the photo used for the cliffs.

BiG ToE-3DT: Awsome overall picture. The mood, lighting, textures, I'm feeling it all. I could see this being some high end hotel for the super rich.

ClassicGamer-3DT: This snowy mountainside scene works really well, i really like the sphere housing with the steel girders with icicles running down them, but i'm most impressed with the underwater or underice spheres with lighting, they really look like they are under the black ice that surrounds them, great compositing and nice camera angle.

Simon-3DT: I really like the idea of a suspended colony living in between the cliffs. I think the way you have made some of the pods appear under water looks really cool.

Tom-3DT: Great model, sense of power, and scale. My first place choice.

Rich-3DT: Original design with a great sense of scale reminiscent of giant earth movers. I like the giant sphere which gives it that extra sci-fi element. I could see this in Thunderbirds.

Chrip-3DT: Thats one massive drill - great model, nice amount of detial and also how you've thought about dispersing the vehicle weight by having a very wide frame.

BiG ToE-3DT: Crazy amounts of detail, clean modeling and great idea.

ClassicGamer-3DT: The level of detail on this behemoth is just beautiful, really clean modelling and very well produced elements all come together to make this one of my favourite models from any SMC before it.

Simon-3DT: Wow! its massive! I like the concept of it having to run on railway lines as it is so huge. It looks like it would make light work of any task. Great model.

Judges Comments:

Rich-3DT: Good blend between the human and the ape in this model and looks like the missing link indeed ! A plausable design even though reminiscent of Planet of the Apes.

Chrip-3DT: Great sculpt, fits the wikipedia definition of a yeti perfectly.

BiG ToE-3DT: Super clean sculpting. perfect attention to detail. Did not over do anything. Tons of personality comes through in this piece.

Freespace-3DT: Love the idea of an extremely intelligent abominable snowman, with ape like features. Great control over fine details.

ClassicGamer-3DT: Amazing sculpting, Thid behemoth has beautiful hair detailing and a really unique take on the subject matter.
