'U - Joint Tutorial '

This tutorial will be using controllers and wiring parameters which I won't get into here. You should brush up on those two concepts before trying this.

First we will start off with all of the linking shafts. These are 4 simple cylinders as seen in fig1.



The actual ujoint pieces can be modeled in any way which you want them to look decent. the only characteristic is that they should be able to interlock. I started mine with a box and just did some poly modeling on it to get what you see in fig2 and added a mesh smooth to it. Position the U-Joints in the correct places as seen in fig3. How they are rotated might change as you progress in the tutorial.

The connection pins are simply two cylinders rotated at 90 degree angles and positioned inside the ujoint. IMPORTANT to note is that the pivots of those cylinders need to be centered to the objects.
