Step1: Select the 12 faces as shown in figure on the left.Now Smooth shift, holding ctrl+LMB.
Step2: Stretch..holding ctrl and dragging upward from the top (marked blue) untill you get the result as the image on the left.
Step3: Smooth shift and move backwards a little bit,smooth shift the second time and move it backwards untill it matches the distance as the image on the left.
Lastly... delete the faces to produce airdam of the car.The result of your project should look like the image on the left.
Lets give the fender a crease!
Select two faces just like the figure labeled step1 then bandsaw and press n to make the dialog appear, just like the last step eliminate the previous command by pressing action then reset.Select the band and enter the value of 90%
Now see the result, you get a nice crease that defines the fender do on the opposite side.
The next part of the tutorial will complete the car body so stay tuned for the next episode, meamwhile practice the techniques you have learned and try to experiment your own techniques!
Chapter 2
Hide the entire front section, press -
Learning from the first chapter of this tutorial do the same thing with the rear fender,create disk,bevel, cut and delete the lower part.
Position your newly created fender to the cars profile, do just like the sample image.
Before we go further modeling the rear portion of our car let us change the backdrop of our front view,locate where you have saved the image of the rear.
No need to change settings just replace the image.
Select the two end points of the fender and move them according to its curvature.
Do the infinite style!
Again select the outer vertex and extend them, and from all views position the extended points along the fenders profile.
